so my large male kelberi from mark is a very big tank bully how do i stop this?
he is very aggressive towards all the fish in the tank and is at it all day with them

Tank is a 150 with some plants plenty of filtration gravel nothing else also
just added some more tank mates but this behavior was prior forcing me to get rid of a female mono and then turned aggression towards the ocell and now to other kelberi and all bass in the tank

Am i stressed over nothing or is this something to act on?

How bad is the aggression? Is it to the point where scales are coming off or just typical flaring? What is your temperature set to?

We can all say that the Rio Fran is the dominate one in that tank. Dither could reduce aggression through out the tank. Silver Dollars, Tin Foil barbs and other nice size cichlids.

The other Kelberi's are getting down to?

Cichla are gonna boss each other around. Maybe its time for a tank w/ a bigger footprint.

New additions??? or been together a while and just begining the aggrresion???

:iagree: I'd also consider the use of dither fish as well to maybe curb the aggression a little bit, there will always be a pecking order amongst cichla but if it's getting to the point where it's getting too bad I'd start considering taking some action.
