Hi everyone, I have a 15 inch redtail shovel nose cross in a 125 gallon aquarium. I know that the tank is to small in the long run, and even the short run, and he may be going into a tropical pond, but is there a possibility of him ramming into the glass and breaking it before I move him? Cause he hits the glass pretty hard sometimes. Has anyone had one of these experiences? Will he hurt himself if not break the tank? Thanks

I've not had RTC hit the glass unless it was spooked or over stressed. It is possible for it to injure itself. Breaking of the glass is unlikelt though possible depending of the thickness. Try to figure out why it hits the glass and solve the problem before either happens.

Ive heard of rtc breaking out slightly smaller tanks before. Look at your cat's tail and look at all that muscle. do not underestimate his strength and try not to spook him
