Well I got rid of the bushy nose and I can already tell the poop output has greatly decreased. When you guys said just clean more...I think that would have been impossible. I was cleaning once a day. That seems nuts to me.

The feeding regimen sounds fine. White sand will always show everything, so you could get rid of one of the poo machines (plecos)

i have sand in my puffer tank, along with a pleco and a few otto's and i can tell you i'm pretty much vacuuming poop every day to every other day, with big water changes at the end of the week...

So in other words, as long as you have pleco's and stuff expect to be doing a lot of cleaning...
