That sux, and it's also why no one but me nets my fish. I have had a few fish that just like to jump especially tsn. The one I just moved jumped when I went to net him and landed on the floor. Luckily no damage was done. I immediatly grabbed the fish with my hand in the net. Put him in his temporary movement container(a cooler), inspected then moved him to the pond. Seems fine and eating like a horse. Hope the spines heal straight on your's.
