I'm looking into purchasing this 180 gallon tank but there were a couple of things that I'm a little worried about... overall, it looks like the tank was re-sealed/re-built... nevertheless, these are the things that are giving me second thoughts.

1) On one of the sides... there appears to be a bubble in the glass but the sealing is over it.

2) The former owner build metal crossbars (2 total - they were welded together to lay on the top to clamp the back and front) that go over the top... the normal plastic one on brand new tanks are not there. When the tank isn't filled... the crossbars can be moved when the tank is empty but the current owner mentioned that when it's filled with water... it doesn't move anymore.

Pics of the bubble are below.... thoughts? Should I be worried if I purchase the tank?

I forgot to mention that the owner mentioned that it holds water fine, no leaks and he's never had a problem with it. Also, on the outside of the tank where the bubble is... it feels like it's sealed over it... not sure what was used but the edges are straight.

Don't buy without seeing it full!!!!!
Double check the dimensions too, that looks taller the specs you mentioned.

The cross supports probably do tighten with water pressure on the glass,as for the bubble if it ever began to leak you could seal it with wider silicon. It should definately be a price cutter though, hope you get a good deal on it..

He's selling it for $300. He said he originally bought the setup even with the defect for $1000.

Also tank dimensions 72.5 x 18.5 x 31.

Is this tank stand canopy and any filter's? I love the dimensions it''ll be pretty Good tank for S.A./ca setup.

That is a crap job of resealing. Plus that defect in the glass looks like the first spot for it to burst and start leaking. DONT BUY IT!!!!, wait for something better.
