Tank Defect - should I be worried?

I'd only buy that tank to use the glass to build a DIY tank.

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw the chip.

Walk away. A 180 gallon tank is a big mess if it fails down the road. I wouldn't take it if they gave it to me for free unless you were using it as a terrarium. Also the tank looks old. Wait for a better and undamaged tank or spend a lot more on a new one. It'll be worth the piece of mind!
