What's the best thing to use for a tank divider? I was thinking about using eggcrate before but went to both home depot and lowes and were clueless about what I was talking about.

I have bought something that is used in koi filters as a divider for the filter medias.
It comes in pieces about 10x5 inches and looks like eggcrate you can put it together like a puzzle.
You only have to put the pieces together until you have the size you want.
You can also cut it with a blade to get the right size.

Purely out of curiosity wouldn't the solid sheet of acrylic effect flow and filtration throughout the tank?
Definitely would have an effect to some extent, and I can't really visualize a bunch of suction cups in the center of the tank being any more "cleaner" looking imo
In have drilled holes in the sheet and haven't had any issues. Will post a pic later if I get a chance.
