Tank footprint questions

I feel your pain. 35" stand 30" tank. I keep several ladders nearby

The pain is well rewarded though, so I don't find it much of an inconvenience.

I've found that the joy of having a tank that's as tall as I am is well worth having a step stool nearby.

My 330 had a 48" tall stand (excessive?) And was 36" tall I could barely reach the edge to throw food over for feeding, everything else meant the ladder came out... sold that tank about a month ago. It had a 24" canopy on it and was in a 10' tall room, needless to say it almost went to the ceiling. Looked impressive but was a pain to work with

All in all I would love another tall tank but shorter stand for sure

I think it's really what you like and are willing to deal with. I noticed with my 300gal at 31in tall was still a pain because when it came to doing anything in the bottom it was a task, but when everyting was in place and clean the shear look of all front, especially when you fish are larger, looks impressive. Can;t wait to get a larger 900gal with a 44 to 48 tall foot print. Pain and Pleasure..
