TANK GLASS PAINTING

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i always use two coats of black spray paint .
The sheen of the paint dosnt matter you will view it thru glass its automatically gonna be shinny ,until the algae grows on the glass.
If you want to make sure you have good coverage use a flashlight inside the tank while it lays on its face if you see light spray another coat

I HATE using spray paint on tanks, never again. You get thin patches the light or wall behind the tank will show through. I use Latext basex paint, put the tank on it's face, tape the edges off and use a normal house roller to apply. I only use matt finish so it does not reflext light when taking pics. This is the only way to go IMO if you want it done right the first time.

Is it the same if you are painting an acrylic tank?
