would a 110 gallon high ( 48x18x31) work for a single retic? i need to now soon, it a posting on craigslist.

It would not work for an adult retic.
It would only be a grow out tank. Retics get to be 24" in length (tail and body). 18" wide tanks are not enough for them.

Ya for most sting rays its better to have an extra wide tank instead of an extra deep tank. you want at least 30 inches wide
