do u kno the big plactic tubawear tubs... they r like plastic... could you cut out a sqaure and make a window so view fish?... what should the window be made out of.. how do i bond the new window to the plastic?

Heavy plastic and fiberglass water containers have been used to breed fish for LOT's of years....You can probubly add a window to most of them but be warned....the main reason to do this is money and it's NOT as cheap as you might think. The less expencive bins and tubs won't hold up to the water pressure continuiously...most of the windows put in them leak to one degree or another...and the tubs and bins that ARE strong enough can be more expencive than a good sized used aquarium.

well i have a huge one thats really strong plastic... so i would be cutitng it and installing clear glass cause the tub is green... how should i go about putitng the glass in?

If its a flat section then you can try a good two part epoxy.

explain on how to go about that... i'm new to any type of creating tanks or anything along those lines.. this would be my first project
... do i just expoxy the window with like a 3 inch lip on the inside of the cut tub?

I would use plexi-glass...much simpler to work with and it flexes so the window wont pop out when the sides of the tub flex.

Start with a piece of plexiglass thats 2" larger than the opening you cut in the tub. You can either try to use JUST epoxy to hold the window in place or drill a series of holes about 4" apart all around the rim and attach it to the tub with Stainless steel rivits. Put the window pannel on the INSIDE of the tub so that the water pressure helps hold it in place.

u think this is worth a go?... now shoudl i use epoxy or i was told about silicon and other stuff too... what would be best?
