Tank in garage?

I live in California and it gets up to 100 something degrees in the summer can I keep a hundred fifty gallon tank in the garage?

If it's insulated well and you could keep it cool I'd say yes

Well u could use a chiller but they cost a lot to run.

Unless you can keep it cool no, I live in cali as well and wouldn't dream of doing a tank in a non insulated garage

I keep my tanks in the garage and live in LA with no issues. I don't believe the garage is insulated. During the summer, I lower the water level to let the filter output aerate the water to help it keep a little cooler. Tanks been set up for about 6 years.

Is your garage attached to the house or is it separate? I live in Cali as well and my garage stays relatively cool year round.

Garage tank stays around 80-85 deg here in OC

Summer time in central CA I have to turn up my drip and run a fan to keep my 450 from getting over 85F
