I wish keeping tanks warm was my issue, in az they get to hot, thats my limitation. I have heard the balnket thing works great, these guys all have good advise. good luck with it.

Thanks for all the advice guys...I may go back to the drawing board and convert my storage room to house some tanks. I should be able to run a hvac duct there (for a price).
One other thing you might want to concider if you havn't already set the tank up is to use one or two waterbed heaters between the tank itself and the stand along with a good in-line heater. The water bed heaters are designed for VERY large gallonage and work slowly. This might bring the power consumption down into the acceptable range.
I think if I do do it, I'm just going to start from scratch and do some remodeling in the storage room...or, buy a new house
