well my turtle tank is a little dull. i did have shrimp in there but i removed them into their own tank. so now its just him. what fish could i put in their to fill the emptiness? i was thinking maybe just some feeder fish. i can get 20 for $5. any one have any ideas?

how big is the tank? what kind of turtle? chances are you wont be able to put fish in there that are not intended as food. and 20 for 5? that's pretty steep for feeder fish. considering when i buy feeder fish (golds/minnows) i ask for a dollars worth and get 10-12 fish, you're getting ripped off.

I can understand your want for more out of your turtle tank, but pretty much what you put in there will get nipped or eaten. you'll have much better luck providing a better aquascaped tank- mebbe a paludarium project. that might satisfy the boredom for the time being.

the tank is 12 gallon, hes a australian short neck hes only a baby. $5 for 20 is australian money. i already have a tropical tank and shrimp tank. its just his tank is so dull and nothing much in there. i guess feeders are feeders and if they get eaten well thats how it goes i guess. he misses heaps of whats going on. he didnt know that the shrimp were in there for 2 months till i was getting them out. his eye sight isnt sharp so hopefully if they are quick and small u know.

Turtles aren't then most active pets in a small tank like that theres not much you can add to liven up the tank

I would get a larger tank and them mabye add some tank mates with your turtle

just fill with some guppies or Gambusia just to have some activity in the tank, and the losses won't be a big deal

Isn't the australian short neck endangered?

single convict.
i had a convict/sajica hybrid that was meant as food that survived for over a year as a 4" female until i moved it and it got killed. that was in with river cooter and missmaps. atm i keep a african side necked turtle and he WOULDNT tolerate anything.
is your turtle fairly passive? or does it go for all moving targets
