i would sand the glass with wet and dry sand paper probably 220 grit. the will lightly frost the glass and provide better bonding with your choice of sealer. only in the area to be glued as it will frost the glass !!!!
 Or I'll just use a lot of sealant which is easier to manipulate.

probably the best bet. otherwise your can RE-do the whole joyful experience next week from the seal in the back left corner.

It is not that difficult. Just tryin to help here.
All right, let me try this once. If it happen again I am going to use a hammer and smash the freakin tank in the backyard... Nah, perhaps just dump it or even sell it cheap lol. A new All-glass 72G BF tank only costs about $180 at Petland, which is OK for me. Thx.

Don't patch it, fix it. You'll be starting another thread similar to this one in the near future more than likely (and the second time may not be as pleasant).

Update… got home from work and discovered the leakage has been quite slow – about a quarter of a small cup. So I decide to start the work tomorrow evening.
Meantime I was trying to determine the exact leaking location. Busted, it is actually the left front corner. First I used a leveler and found the left side is a few mm higher because of the floor. Then I was not so sure about the right corner where the dripping appears. I smashed a bit flake food and spread over the stream btw the bottom rim and glass, but the leakage is just too slow… I then cut several pieces from a plastic soup container, inserted btw the rim and glass, and found out the section where the water would build up first.
Thx again for all the help.

once upon a time.....
I was on my was on my way to the the store, when, as I was putting my shoes on i said, "that is weird. The front of my 90 gallon is dripping." So I said to my wife, "I am going to stop at the fish store before I go shopping."
As I am talking to the guys at the store 1 mile from my house, my wife, Kandi calls to tell me that what once was a drip--- then a stream, now a waterfall needs emergency attention. The owner of the store came home with me with some small tanks to house the fish temporary as we put up the new 125 gallon.:headbang2 see, the story can have a happy ending.

:topic: Your wife is named Kandi??? How cool is that! :headbang2

Meanwhile, does she let you leave the house anymore? :D

Update…
Well, I chose to patch for certain reasons, one of those is that I could see the leaking was caused by craftsmanship, not by aging/wear.
After determining the leaking area and draining the water, I sanded the surrounding glass and original sealing area, repeatedly cleaned using rubbing alcohol. Masking taped the area and applied All-glass aqua silicone. I’d waited for 4 days before filling the tank again. Now it’s been 2 days and it seems OK.
I’ll definitely come back to this thread if it leaks again.
Thx.
