A small bit of plexi glass will do the trick...

Dude, Nice Tank and Aquascaping, I would do both, cover top with plexi and shop for new lights, in the mean time get the old ones out and dry them for a few days before repairing

what you got living in there, i dont see much action, looks great though

You reckon? what could go wrong with the plastic?

Welcome to MFK! I think wrapping plastic might not be a good idea too as the light might collect excessive heat from lack of ventilation.
