I don't think they are more than 40 bucks but that all really depends on the fixture length. What I would do is try one T5 double lamp fixture, they come with bulbs and see how that goes. The other added benefits of the T5 fixture is that it's a little shorter both in length and height so it might fit better and it does produce more light than the T12 or T8 fixtures. You can always return them if you don't like them at Home Depot. So I would buy one and see how you like the light output and then you can always add another if you want more light or just upgrade the bulbs to a better Kelvin rating.
