I prefer not to mix lakes. This will be my only african tank and I'd like to make it just Tanganiykan.

Altolamprologus species: Calvus (black, white), Compressiceps variants. If you don't mind having eggs stolen when the frontosas will spawn, Altolamprologus species are perfect.

Make sure you give them some cover, small caves where they can hide in if chased.

Marunguensis is from the same family as Brichardi, and they build huge colonies. These guys, once they start spawning they will take over a tank, Neolamprologus species from the Brichardi family do best in species only tanks.

I think that yellow labs would look awesome..I am not sure they would work together conisidering the lakes, aggession and size...but it would look cool
i had them growing up with my frontosa and they were fine...

I quess i have lots of choices but for now I'm just going to stick with the Moba. These guys are costing me too much money. No clown loaches either. Thanks for all the responses and I will post pics when I get them this week.

Aw dang. I was looking forward to seeing what you tried so I could do it with my Moba Colony too. :)

Honestly these things are way too expensive to go messing around with so i think since I haven't kept Africans in years I should start out with just the Fronts in this tank. 120 gallons isn't a very big tank considering how big they get. How big of a tank are you putting yours in?
