Hmm . . . what else could be possible tank mates? I know clown loaches are a definite possibility. I'm gonna buy about 50 feeder danios and let those grow to be community fish for the dat, lol. ;P Yes, I'm a cheapo. Planning on planting the tank with java moss and java fern as well. Dw, I'm gonna be getting a few more schooling fish such as giant danios as well. Would a marble gar grow too fast for the dat to keep up?
I think that the gar would out grow the Dat.

Ic ic . . . what kind of possible predatory characins would I be able to keep with the dat? I know that Atf, paraya, piranha, etc are out of the question, but what other kind are there? Pretty sure that any type of eel-like fish would be able to get out the back of my tank so they are out as well. xP

Why not have a rocket gar? But don't get in over your head as the tank isn't that big.

Lol, I know. Fully aware of how big my 55 is. I was thinking around 5 juvis of fish that will get large enough not to be dat food. They would have to grow at around the same rate as well.
