tank mates for florida gar

just wondering can florida gar be housed with a ck?

Yes.. As long as the CK does'nt consider the gar as food..

How big is the gar and the CK..?

ck is 12in or so the gar only 4in he would be grown out for a while before i put him in with my ck. can you keep more than one gar in a tank the lfs has 2?

You will need to grow out the gar till it reaches around 10-12"..

Yes more than 1 gar can be kept together..

Depends on a lot of things.. I got mine to 10" in 3 weeks..

I fed it feeders, shrimp...and raised the temp...

wow three weeks thats some insane growth! hqw much did you feed

I just dumped the tank full of feeders..and let it eat how much it wanted to..

And then when the feeders were over..i started feeding it prawns..

sounds good to me now i just hope they dont sell them till monday so ican go and pickthem up true gar dont show up here that often. mist out at my chance for amia calva at the same shop they were nice to with alot of orange
