Do you know what you're saying? You recommending him to get rays to go with his silver that will eventually go in either a 125 or a 180? You do know that not even one ray will fit in a 180 for life and especially not a 125 right? dude read my other posts. i said u could have them in a 180 for a year and with a ray grow them out and get a much bigger tank............ im not giveing bad advise im just telling him what he could do in the short run then he will need to do for the long run.
Seems you need to read clearly too, he said he will be upgrading to a 125 or a 180. Recommending him fish that will only fit in a 300 gallon is not giving him advice on what he could do in a short run, but instead, giving him an option that will probably screw him over. theres one at my lfs, they keep it with a few catfish, not sure what kind but they just a little bit smaller than the jar itself.
your best bet would be bottom dwellers, start with some small cheap ones to see how it acts on them. Common bristlenose or someting. Just too see how it acts to it.
