tank mates for lei

i'm looking for some fish to put with my lei. the aro is about 6" right now and i need fish to grow with it. i'd prefer the fish to be ok with a bare bottom tank with maybe a few pieces of driftwood in there. i don't want dats or bichirs. i'm looking for colorful fish that aren't too aggressive or get too big. any suggestions that fit my criteria?

Dats seem to do well with Aros IMO. They do get kinda big, albeit at a very slow pace, depending on the species. Gratz on your Lei, bro :)

Find some red severums! They're not popular, but some store carries them. You can also get 2 blacks from Rich at Infinite Aquatics, if you like an aro comm tank. Redhook silver dollars will be cool too. Tigrinus catfish if you can find a small one
