Thought I'd add one more suggestion of fish you clearly stated you didn't want.ethnics;2853066; said:you gotta get fish that can man up n fend for them selves. Lei's are not your basic swimmers all the time. they are austrailian aros, and carry a bit of a temper. not quite jardini "i wanna kill you" temper, but they like to chase.
do not add some severums or discuss or "colorful fish". it'll be dead by the time the aro hits 14 inches. its only 6" for now so it might work for a bit, but my leichardti would kill any weakling fish i add that can't fend for itse self
clown loaches, botia loaches. big enough to not get eaten.
Those geophagus will work, too. Just don't get those aggressive cichlids, cuz they'll drive your Lei nut, and he'll go after them.fish_geek85;2853172; said:i was thinking about clown loaches but i remember my last silver ate 3 loaches i had. the loaches were 3-4" and i had them for over a year. i bought the silver when it was just 3" and it reached 12" in about a year. he decided to snack on his buddies... i found it funny that i raised him with neon tetras and he never ate them... strange.
i'll look into the severums. what about those geophagus tapajos cichlids? they look pretty cool. would those work?
