tank mates for Microglanis catfish

How about a couple of German Blue or Gold Rams? Also, the poster that mentioned various smaller pleco species is right on (clowns, L 201s, L 204, BN - personally). Consider Banjo cats as well. And various driftwood cat species, such as C. Perugaie. I've personally kept bumblebees with these species and they got along handsomely (have experience with all but the rams- want to try them eventually, though.

haha the fish being moved are blue rams and bolivian rams and i do also have a couple of banjo cats, which by the way are the boringest animals ever created.

bumblebee will more than likely eat the rams if you go that route, i have never seen a ram large enough to escape mine, and if yours is already grown i doubt it would pass the meal up either. i have been sucessful in keeping mine in a 20 high with 3 neolamprologus brichardi. also a common fish sorry, but atleast they are attractive and eye catching.

i like brichardi they are fun to watch crowd around and they breed like rabbits. i think i may go with an apistogramma of some sort, if i was smart and patient i would just leave the tank empty for one of my random gotta have it, on the spot fish purchases.

When I first added my Bumblebee he was really aggressive towards my Farlowella and may have stressed him to death as I'm still not positive what killed it. He still gets into it with my Madtom but really only when they end up running for the same hiding spot. Other than that he just lays around or digs all night.

mine just ignores everything, and wants nothing more than to sit in his coconut and eat all the time. I've kept him with everything from breeding green terrors to otocinclus cats and a lot in between and he couldnt care less about any of it and nothing ever seems to bug him. He even spent a spring and summer out in the pond and came out double in size.

if you get the brichardis to breed im sure he would have no problem keeping the population under control for you. ;)

no i had considered the brichardi for my 75g tanganyikan tank but ended up deciding on white calvus, julidochromis regani, synodontis petriola, and leleupi. brichardi are too troublesome, take over too quickly.
