Tank mates for Motoros

The red tail tin foils that supposedly max at 8 inches don't. I had 5 that were 14" in about a year and a half. I think they gat as large as schwanenfeldii.
 
Forget the mbu then. How big are the rays going to get? Will you be upgrading?
 
Motoros normally get 18-24" or larger depending on their sex and environment.
 
Yes I will be upgrading to. 1500 gallons once I finish my Koi pond outside.

The indoor tank will get heated and some things redesigned and the rays will be.going in there.

That will be with in the next 6 months.
 
Hmmm... how many are in there? That's a lot of bioload for a 240, if there are several.
 
9-10. But they are only about 2".

They are not in the 240 yet.
 
Why so many??? Are you keeping all of them? What are they in now? What is their eventual tank size?
 
They were $1. They are my favorite schooling fish. Right now they are in a 150 and I could split them between my tanks and throw some in the 1500 once heated.

I've obviously got time to decide with hem since they are small.

They were from petsmart and they are growing rather slow.
 
Not sure if youre still thinking about the bichirs but i just gave mine away because i saw it biting the end of my rays tail..i wont be putting anymore of them in w/ my ray
