ya but the real Q is, how big was your tank? personally i dont like 2 jd in anythin smaller then a 75, but if his tank is 4 foot by 15 wide, that should be big enough for a pair of jd.

If that fish has been a loner its whole life than I doubt it will tolerate any tankmates.

I think a female Con would be best to try.

I agree....cichlids that have been alone for all or the majority of their lives can be near impossible to mix with other cichlids once they reach maturity.

Agreed. The most I would add would be a small-medium sized pleco (ex: green phantom, goldie, etc.).

i agree too. I have read that 55 gal min for one JD with no other fish. i thank a 60 would fall under this too. Maybe a 75g you could put a tank mate in with her

2 JD's can be kept together if it's a male/female pair, but I personally wouldn't want to in such a small tank (although it would probably work, but it wouldn't provide much room and may cause issues with water quality depending on his water change schedule and filtration).

What does this have to do with anything? You give horrible advice:banhim:

I agree with them, Maybe a female con, or a medium sized pleco. Thats it, i would just try to add a pleco since the fish has been alone its whole life.

JD = Jack Dempsey, not Jardini. Jardini is abbreviated as "jar".

I think it was just a confusion with the abbreviations. And giving bad advice doesn't merit banning, I see bad advice given all the time, and I've never heard of anyone getting banned for it.
