tank mates for pike

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I keep mine with Vieja/Paratheraps. Works great for me.

i just put my mota pair in n they are cool. no fights

if there lugubris you're gonna need atleast a 125+

I agree with what someone else said earlier. The foot print of the tank has alot to do with weather or not you can have any tankmates. I have a female Red Tabajos in a 90 and she won't allow any tankmates at all, not even a catfish or algae eater.

thanks for all the help yall....i was thinking an oscar and maybe 4 solver dollars
that should work, but no guarantees. you're going to want at least a 125

I'm not a pike expert, but having a 6 foot tank with any aggressive cichlids changes the rules completely in terms of what you can and can't keep together...8 foot respectively and so on...

Hey Amazon, I've got 3 Red Hooks @ about 4-5" I'm trying to get rid of. I tried giving them to Aquatic Critters but they already have some @ the store. BTW, I am not far from you. Just off of exit 37 on I-65.

I also have a few more fish that need to go, just send me a pm if your interested.

Watch the Motas, I just removed my 6 inch male as he was starting to bully my 3 - 7" Marms to the point of splitting some finsa and the like. So he was exiled to a 55, soon to be taken to lfs.

Footprint does have alot to do with it, but also fish combinations help also, plus how they were housed in the order of stocking. I always house the most aggro last after the others have well established territory.
I have a 6'x2' -150 with 3 larger Vieja/Paratheraps and 2-11" Lents that work out great. It also houses 7 SD's.
