tank mates for wolf

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Whew. I was scared there for a minute.

I hope you're upgrading to about 200 gallons. With a Gar a Wolf and somthing else.

Try a large SA cichlid. Not an Oscar or JD, they'll probably get owned by the Wolf.

well theyre both babies..gar at bout 4 inches n the hoplias microlepis at bout 5. ugrading as soon as they grow an inch or 2 or 3.

Some of these guys really like to be condescending. It’s not like you said a size or that they were going to be in the tank permanently.

Well anyways, you can keep fish that are much larger than the wolf. But still there is no guarantee. It’s a crap shoot.

At the moment I have one in with some cichlid that are about the same size. They’ve been fine for a few months accept for one death.

wow...some people should not be keepin fish

you cant read or what..i didnt say imma keep them in there permanently in a 20 gallon..maybe someone who is not capable of reading shouldnt be keepin a fish

I've kept many fish in my day, including Red Snakeheads, and (boring) Wolf fish. The Wolf fish ultimatley can be kept with nothing, including hardy large cichlids. Wolf fish prey on Piranaha in the Amazon (not saying this means anything, because a pack of Piranaha prey on Wolf's as well). The problem with a large cichlid is that they are typically very territorial and will attempt to joust with a Wolf to their ultimate demise. Some Cichlids have some decent teeth, but the Wolf has daggers made to kill....
