tank over hanging stand quistion?

Could just put a really thick plywood sheet the size of the tank between the stand and the tank... Would screw up the aesthetics a bit though.

Yeah thing is I have a steel stand powder coated and lights installed 4 tier high but they stuffed it up and made it 16wide xD just a bit tight for cichlids I find.
