Tank pading?

Going to re-set up my tank and was thinking of doing a "net" of some kind. Something with holes big enough to drop food thru. I was thinking it might be better for an aro because it will have a little "give" to it, compared to a hard surface like glass or acrylic. Has anyone seen or heard of something like this?

Nets are a bad idea the aro jumps gets caught in the net and can get back in the water or snaps front fins or barbells

Also as for this low water line thing I have never been able to work it out some people have a 300 gal tank but only have 270 gal of water or even less what's the point the more water in your system the better

I ended up making a lid lined with foam. About 1.5 inch thick. Really good after punching it and it didn't hurt that much. This was the only thing i can think of after you guys pointed out that netting was bad. I just don't know how water proof it will be in the long run or how long the glue will last over water.. First week was a lot of condensation.

The best what you can do is cover made of plexi glass (acrylic). 0,5" should be enough.
