i made a couple calls to guys who are in construction about laying the concrete, but i will also talk to my buddy who is a carpenter about cutting the 10 foot shims. that was more what i had in mind, but one of my wifes friends husbands does concrete for a living and is going to check everything out and see if its something he can do in his spare time for dinner and beer ( i pay for supplies of course). if he can get it done right for just the cost of supplies thats probably what i'll do.
