Tank planting stock help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The lolz. If he tries to keep some rare peruvian plants with just some flourish and no co2 then he'll have a difficult time. Its super easy. If i can plant my tank (1.2 wpg, sand, suppliments and root tabs), then ckcdrummer can do it.
But yh caleb depending on the plants you'll need some root tabs and some seachem flourish and excel. Basic stuff.
By the way do you know how to look up our county's water parameters? Like the acidity, hardness and such? I cant find a website.

Dude Watsonvilles water is cut off from everyone else.. Aptos and la selva are running on the same water but it cuts off at 41st avenue. I wouldn't use you water becuase Connor says they actually put floride in there water to help teeth infection literally becuase the Mexicans in Watsonville can't afford a dentist.

And my lighting isn't exactly the same as you.. You have 1.2 wpg for your tank and I have around 3.4 wpg. My lighting system is insane it came with my tank.

Exactly -- 3.4wpg is a TON of light, and if you're providing a ton of light, you need a ton of nutrients and CO2 as well, otherwise you're asking for algae. My advice would be to sell the light as you could decent money for that hoss, buy something 1wpg, and pocket the difference. Did you say what your substrate was?

If your tank has too much light, to prevent algae growth add a fast growing floating plant like water sprite. It will quickly cover the entire tank surface and cut down on the amount of light reaching the plants below.
