Got my tank rearranged some, was able to get a few more crypt plants going from the established ones in there. Moved some of the driftwood around and cleared out some space for swimming. Wes just shipped out my TATF, so if all goes well he'll be in there by this time tomorrow. Just figured I'd throw this picture up for now, and I'll update this thread when he goes in the tank.

Right now, current tankmates (dithers, feeders, whatever you prefer lol) are 5 black neon tetras, 2 buenos aires tetras, 8 mollies, and a 5" L191 royal pleco. I'm assuming all will be gone by next week except for the pleco, although the mollies are rather large. They may hang around for a bit until the ATF puts on some size and can get after them. Hopefully they breed in the meantime...

TATF?...Which tiger fish is that?

H. tanzanaie - at least that's what it's being labeled as at this point. Kind of looks like a h. goliath juvenile from the pictures, but we'll see what he looks like when he gets a little larger. I believe it's from the same batch as the one chicxulub got his from.

Oh yeah I've heard of that name but it must have slipped my mind.

beast looking tank! how big is it and are the plants real?

Thanks! Yes, all plants and wood are real in there. It's a 48x24x24" - 90 gallon. It'll be a growout for a year and a half or so (rough estimate). Not sure how quickly these guys grow, but if he grows quickly or seems like he needs the space sooner, I'll upgrade accordingly.

is the background real too? lol

nice tank set up for him for sure, just make sure you have a good current going as well..... good luck with him, and keep us posted

LOL, no I wish though. It's just a standard background but with the Hagen background adhesive oil so that it shows through super well. It really looks 3D when looking at it, I love the way it came out. I just need to pull it back off in one spot and reapply since it bubbled out and I got lazy and didn't smooth it back out soon enough. Now it's dried out in the spot so it won't stick by pressing on it. Oh well, another project for another day, LOL.

Thanks! He's definitely got a decent amount of current for now, there's a Koralia 1050 pump in there along with a spray bar from an Eheim 2217 and another one from an Eheim 2236. The little mollies in there can barely keep up, poor little guys... Surprisingly enough the neon tetras seem to really like the current, I didn't think they'd be strong enough to swim in it. They sit near the pump outlets and just swim all day. Pretty funny stuff.
