Tank resealing

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunitly I am in a bit of a jam when I need to test fill the tank. I live in an apartment building so I can't exactly leave my tank out side due to the fact that I don't even have a belcony to out it on. It is a pain I will tell you that!

The GE silicone 2 didn't say anything on the bottle about being mildue resistant, otherwise that would have been a dead give away to me not to use it.

And GE Silicone II is dirty-bad-nastey-icky-poo for fish tanks. The anti-fungal chemicals will leach into the tank and reportedly are deadly to fish.

I would never have agreed if I hadn't know this myself and had first hand experience with so many tank reseals.

Plus you are one of the only people that i've heard of resealing their tank and filling it "In there House" After resealing the general practice is to fill it outside and let it sit out there for at LEAST 24 hours Especially on Large Tanks ...

Where IS your sense of Adventure? Don't you TRUST your own work? dr_sudz knows where he stands & it wasn't his fault it leaked a SECOND time, it was the DEMON TANK gODS. And he does have a DW to clean it up. ONCE.

I feel for apartment aquariumists' (?). But they persevere.

P.S. Tongue33... I age any of my tanks for a month outside, I just didn't want to say it in front of you know who... He's sensitive.

I haven't had a chance to fill it again, not been home for long enough to fill and make sure it doesn't burst again lol.

With the ge silicone 2 are is the general senses that I strip this and re-do it with silicone 1?

At this point, whatever makes you comfortable
