Tank sealing advice

What are your thoughts of doing it outside on my porch? It's been in the 40s here recently and I would have the most room to work on it there

I wouldn't do it outside in temps that cold. Unless it was in a garage or outside room that you could put a small heater next to. I ended up running three fans(two in the tank) just to keep the fumes down in my bedroom. Do you have a basement or unused room to do it in?

I was thinking the same thing, but when I called them a few months ago they told me that the product wasn't meant to be under 100% water pressure at all times, and most likely would harm my fish.

Have seen on tv , the product calls flex seal. Try to put that on first then the silicon.
Just a thought. Never done it b4.

There are a lot of video tutorials on You Tube. I resealed a 75g once. It was hard to clean off all the old silicone. Don't try to lay too many seams at once or the silicone may become too tacky to smooth over. Just do one edge at a time and do it right.

You have to put down all the seams at once. Once silicon starts to dry, any new silicone. Will have a hard time adhering to it.

Just make sure it's GE silicon I and not GE silicon II.

Well I resealed it. Had a lot if people tell me it would take 5-6 tubes of silicone, it def took 2 and that was with a super thick bead. View attachment 983259
