Tank seams opinion

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would not buy unless you are going to reseal. we all know the new silicone does not seal to old silicone so not done properly you are buying some ones issue and saving them dump fees.

Unfortunely I think you're right. Why can't people be more trustworthy?

The seams look good. For a while marineland/perfecto used to do clear seams for bottom and black seams for sides. It’s supposed to look cleaner. I had a few tanks like that in the past. Definitely throws you off the first time seeing it. Here’s a pic of an old 110 gallon. If you look closely you can see the clear bottom black sides. Old 300DD was like that as well.

Thanks for this. I kept reading comments about it under reviews but couldn't confirm it.

Why in the world a manufacturer would do this is beyond me.

I think my 75 is like that. Black on sides, clear on bottom.

Like everyone else has already said, I’d get it if the price is good. But that’s with being ok to reseal.
