Tank security question

It is a very long time since I have posted on here, due to a serious spinal injury i have not been fishkeeping but on the mend now.
I have a tank that was bought just be fore I had my accident and has sat empty for about 5 years it had water in for about 2 weeks from new just as a test and it was fine.
I am just wondering what people think about the security of the silicone after being sat empty for 5 years am I asking for trouble by filling it and stocking it. The tank is around 260 us gal
Any advice or opinions would be welcomed

To be honest i am not entirely sure, but i think it will be ok.

Was it kept inside at a stable temp? Silicone still feel soft? Or does it look dried out?

Yea I would just give it a look over for any obvious silicone issues and than fill it on up. If it's been in a temp controlled environment should be all good and welcome back.

Yeah been inside for the duration at around room temperature,silicone still feels good.

Having this sitting there for the last 5 years has driven me insane but I would not let anyone set it up for me,It has been one of my dring forces in gettingh better.

I had my 180 salt empty in living room for 8 years before I filled it again. It's been absolutely fine

Thanks for the info, I hoped it would be Ok as it has been a great motivation.
I will do a test fill later today and I will then start getting it set up.

I want to see it full and stocked

What do you plan on keeping in there?
