I’d remove the fire eel and the ghost knife. But the other fish should be fine. This assuming the bichir will be a large type of lower jaw.

Welcome aboard
How big will the aquarium be that you're buying?

The most important question is what is the dimension of the tank? Nothing else matters at this point.

I believe you missed the red tail catfish and alligator gar.

All the other fish can get along except the fire eel, bgk and even large polys may need to be removed.

I’d skip the gar and rtc unless your tank is like a public aquarium, I think everything else is good

Welcome to the forum.

That's quite a list of fish you have there and your question very much depends on what you mean by "very big tank". Share that information with us and it will be much easier to give you a sensible stocking plan.

And as already mentioned, an alligator gar shouldn't really be on the list to start with.

An RTC is also pushing boundaries a little, unless your planned tank volume is in the thousands of gallons.

Just out of curiosity, what tanks/fish do you currently have for you to want to make this huge step up?

Welcome! If you want the knifefish your gonna have problems with aggression from the gar or RTC. So you’ll probably only be able to do 1 or the other, but knowing the size of the tank helps.

In a tank or pond sufficiently large enough, several thousand gallons at the least, i suppose those fish could work out except for the smaller fish like fire eel, BGK and bichirs. I dont know of any bichir that grows large enough to avoid becoming prey for a full grown alligator gar or RTC.

Something else to consider, the RTC will most likely outpace most of the others in growth, and could easily start swallowing the slower growing fish unless theyre sufficiently large to start with.

Good luck with your tank.

welcome!

sounds like your getting lots of good info!
