I also saw some light grayish motoro pups. Do they stay that color? Or were they light colored because of the sand they were in?

Motoros are normally light tan all the way up to dark chocolate brown. They can change as they age.

Agreed,
I have never owned one but with it's motoro similarities I would expect much bigger than 12". Hystrix, Scobina and retic are your smallest rays each can get into the 14-16" range

Well i know fishdog has had one for about 4 years, he got it mature at 7" and it is now around 11" i believe. I was told they max out around 12". I guess i will find out. I have 2
