3 in a 70gal isn't that just asking for aggression between em? Get as big of tank as you can find n afford for more fish!

I have 3 in an 85 gallon and I have no aggression amongst them. The worst thing that ever happens is one of them having a fin nipped at feeding time.

K9.. for you I'd say it just depends on what you want to take on. The more fish you have the more activity you will have.. but also need a bigger tank and all the responsibilities that go with it. Whatever you want out of the tank and the available space you have should tell you what size you'd want to have. Minimum for 3 piranhas would be like an 70-85gal.

I totally agree with these guys...they will not steer you wrong.....

I have 7 2-3in RBP's in a 250 gal tank with all the advice I have received from these guys I feel I'm up to speed on what type of care goes into owning these bad boys...

Good Luck...

For the dime sized fish your starting out with a standard 55gal will do. Do your research, learn about the fish and if you stay interested they will let you know when its time to ugrade. 150gal is good for full grown Pygos. Do 50% water changes weekly to keep the aggression down. Good luck Monsta!

Better do a lot of research! N research the laws too I'm pretty sure piranha are illegal in your state.I'm sure your gonna have problems finding someone that'll ship them to ya.

I keep 6 RBP (5-6inches) in a 180gal., along with 3 plecos that are 12-14 inches . No problems, except for the need for constant feeding.

They started off in a 55, 14 months ago when they were less than an 1 inch. There gonna grow fast, so get the biggest tank you can afford.

Yes you are correct. Piranha are illegal in North Carolina. I lived there for 4 years having brought mine all the way from Michigan by car.
Not that I'm saying he should do something like that....That he could go just up to W.Virginia or over to Tenn. and get as many has he wants. Just funny how they're illegal in most states in the South, then theres a few that think "I guess its ok"....
Don't even mention the few States up here in the North that happen to think its nessassary to illegalize them....
Stupidity.
