Just wanted to show a picture of my 55 gallon before it was stocked. Im looking for any crticims or coments on the tank before I add fish. Does the setup look okay or am I doin somethin wrong?

Planned stock list
3 powder blues (Pseudotropheus scolofi)
3 Red zebras (Pseuddotropheus estherae)
3 yellow labs (labidochromis caeruleus)
3 Fuellborn's (OB)(labeotropheus fuelborni)-this is not a peacock
3 Acei (Pseudotropheus acei)
3 Hongi's (Labidochromis hongi)
1 Lace catfish (syodontis nigrita)

Sorry it's blurry

black background and it'll look great

Nice sand, i like the white too. IF it was my tank i would probably add the black background as stated above, and probably just pile the bricks rather then laying them like that. I believe cichlids like to dig between large substrates and the sand, and that wouldn't really be possible with the stacked bricks. Also, you should design something to make sure no one accidentally rocks the tank to where all of the bricks fall.

BTW nice stock list

Thats very interesting with the bricks...I will be interested in seeing that once filled. I would def suggest the black back ground, I am hoping to do mine very soon...once it is full it is so much work to empty all the way and set it up again haha

I did this with a 120 early on, with the uniform stacking they hid all the time. I am not sure why they did this... You have more space between the rocks, so it may work well... I would blackout the back as well!

like the set up, and i do agree...black back
