I have 4 cichlids and they always hide I want to see them if I took all the hiding spots out and put live rock in would that be alright

If they are african cichlids, I would definitely add more stock if your tank is large enough. I wouldn't recommend adding live rock to a freshwater set-up. If the fish are fairly new, they may be adjusting to the tank still.
