Tank Setup

Well I guess I have to follow you guys on the JD being female. His dorsal fin also isnt pointed. I think the store seller sold me the wrong fish lol.

Does this explain why the JD is shy alot? She hides everytime i walk in front of the tank.

JD's are known to be pretty skittish. mine did the same thing when they were younger and never really stopped hiding. i feel like this behavoir is a lot more common in chain store JD's

Ow ok. Well when all the lights in the tank are on, I can do what ever I want in front of the tank. But when none or only 1 light is on, the JD gets freaked out, when she sees me.

Could smn pls tell me if it is possible to keep Anatoma Helenas with my fish? Or will they get eaten?

If they are not expensive I would try a couple... as far as target fish have you considered giant danios? I used to have four of them in my african ciclid tank and they were fast enough to stay out of the ciclids way.
