Ah! I had that problem too. So what I did was keep the teeniest tiniest piece of driftwood in the tank just so the Panaques driftwood diet is satisfied. LOL

 Im just imagining all those plecos sucking on a toothpick.

Tanks looking good - What else ya plan on adding? :naughty:

I keed I keed! LOL

It was about 10-11" only and flat. But it served it's purpose. LOL

What size tank are these fish in? No one here thinks that this is just slightly over-stocked? I don't see how these fish can even move well with each other in there...?

I don't mean to be raining on anyone's parade, but all of these fish are going to get much larger, and they don't have half as much space as they should have as is. I've seen more "too crowded" comments on tanks with a quarter this much fauna in them..

We don't really pull the overstock card much here.. Alot of the keepers here have been keeping fish for a long time or are at the upper levels of fishkeeping and all are responsible enough to have a plan for fish that might get to big for their current tank. Keeping things positive leads to a more positive community with more freedom for the keepers posting to keep fish the way they want to. Obviously a fish needs turnaround room but beyond that there isn't too much that objectable.

It's just the way this site seems to work and I think it makes it 100% better than other sites.

But you've found us out.. MFK isn't like any other site on the web..:D

i am doing this "overstocking" on purpose. i personally like the way it looks and enjoy the level of activity.

talk and comment as much as you want about my preference on how i want to keep MY fish but bottom line...i bought them, i feed them, i house them, soooooooo i'll do as i please with them :headbang2if you don't like it then don't look hahahaha:headbang2

i havent had any deaths and they get feed 2x a day with a daily water change...sooooo until you do the same with a setup like mine with multiple deaths, keep your comments to yourself....

just because you can't or won't do it doesn't mean others can't...i think have a few fish in a big tank is a waste but that's my opinion and you don't see me sharing it or commenting on posts.:grinno:

so i'm going to keep doing it because i can...and what?????

As I said, I wasn't trying to rain on your parade, so please, get off the high horse.

First off, 120 gallons is not a "big tank." I wasn't really criticizing you, just stating how odd it is when people comment on "overstocking" here and there, but all I see is praise in this thread, and it's easily one of the top 5 most overstocked tanks on the boards when you take into account the sizes most of these fish will reach. It's just something I noticed.

That, and I'll comment as I please. can I steal one of your "rock on" smilies? Thanks. :headbang2

i never said my 120 was "BIG" ... :grinno: ... it is relatively small for the fish i keep...i agree with you...but yeah, that's the point with overstocking, hahaha...pack alot in a small tank so yeah...

so comment as you please that only mean you're looking and it is getting to you:ROFL:  :headbang2

One thing is for shure, this tank (together with Jed's tank) inspired me to do a simular set-up on a smaller scale (because monster fish can't be sold in the country)....
