The fish thats in all the tanks are cichla (peacock bass).

i see some very nice drift wood pieces, and the nuchal hump on the male in the 3rd last pic is crazy!
 
Very nice tanks everyone. I love the leaf look Scat. I need to try that someday. I especially like the big piece's of drift wood.

The leafs are a different look... I don't know how that would effect the ph though? Sweet setups all around
 
i believe they were oak tree leaves (scats) u can also use catappa leaves (some kind of indian tropical tree) used to soften your water... meaning, LOWERING your PH...
