It very rarely going to be the tank size that causes stunted growth.Its going to be the other factors that are directly influenced by tank size such as water quality (including hormones in said water, pH, nitrates, temp etc), oxygen content on top of genetics, food quality and other things. the actual size of the tank is probably going to have the least effect other than causing possible stress if the fish feels cramped
