tank size for a pair?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Go Big or GO Home......if you can afford a large(r) tank do it!
You will see in previous Threads and Posts that it is hard to upgrade later. Spend the most you can comfortably afford and get the quality the rays deserve.

a 10" disk breeding pair of motoros for that price??? you can build a pond for cheaper than buying the tank.... consider other costs with keeping them food filtration electric water bills it adds up quick.... might be best to wait till you are more stable in life to get into rays... they are allot different than angels

I understand a pond would be cheaper, but that is not really an option at this point. Right now I would not have electric or water bill where I am living. I know rays are a lot different, as I have been researching up on them for the last 5 years. I got my first ray when I was 16 years old and the only reason I do not have thim still is because I moved out of state and had to sell him. I have been around aquarium my whole life, so it's not like I am steping into the hobby cold turkey... Right now my biggest concern is if I can put another tank on the second level. If anyone is a structual engineering and has any thoughts on that, please let me know. Thanks.

i think the floor would be more than strong enough to hold the tank you mentioned.....
