tank size for a red devil

First pic, wild caught A. labiatus from Jeff Rapps owned by a former member here. Last time I spoke to Chris, which was a few yrs ago, that male lab was 14".

Certainly not all males will reach that size, but in captivity, with a good diet and pristine water, it happens.

Thats a big fish - IYO, what sort of tank size would be ideal for a Red Devil for life? I’ve got an empty 125 setup and looking to get some experience keeping some bigger, more aggressive types - but really want to avoid something that will eventually look too big for the tank.
