tank size for pbass ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its not just length, but height and thickness of the fish from what i hear, then theres a number you either divide or multiply,i forget, i seen it on this site someewhere

125 for just ones fine. But if you want a few/several? I'd go 240-300 gallon. jmo

I had my 22'' Azul in a 125 from 5''-22'' no problem's. gl hunting!!

180gal would be good for two kalberi's.

one question is it avisable to put a p bass that i caught in a lake directly into a tank with an aro.... or is it possible it can carry desease that will kill my other fish

Yes....or vice versa.

Quarantine the bass if you are serious about keeping it. Once you catch a fish and acclimate it to an aquarium you cannot throw it back into the wild. Im not sure of the exact steps of quarantining wild fish to introduce to your aquarium, but Im sure if you searched the site you could find some good info on it.

This is such a risky question!

Recommended tank size for survival is one thing.....size for a good quality of life is quite another. IMO you need to add at least a "0" to the end of most of the above recommendations. Keeping a pursuit predator in a tank in which he cannot even approach active swimming is cruel in my view.

There are many other easier to keep yet just as predatory options. Just a thought!
