95 gallon corner tank, the senegals range from 6-8 ", the ornate ones ones about 6 ones 9ish i think, clown knifes at least 14" now, i like the corner tank but eventually I'll be getting a larger one, those fish get pretty big
I got a 3" senegal in october, thinner than a pencil. Now, hes pushing 8", thick as a quarter. Hes in a 10 now, but hes going in the 55 in a few months, when I get out of this tiny dorm lol!
werd! the smallest TEMPORARY tank that i would EVER consider putting em in is a 20 LONG! very long.
my senegals went from 2" to 6" in a 10 gal in just a few months. all they ate while in the 10 gal were shrimp pellets
it's good to know they won't be stunted in the tank though, that was my biggest concern, the last thing I want is to start a pygmy albino breeding pair bloodline. it's good to know they'll be "in commission" soon enough. feel bad having them in the 10, they like to rip but not enough room.
oh yeah thanks, I picked up shrimp pellets for nutrition, I feed them market shrimp, silversides and raw fish fillets but the pellets are enriched, so I switch it up anyways, the pleco goes nuts for the pellets, he's an agoraphobic pleco so this is a step.

Yea I know, the 55 is waiting for him as soon as I get out of the dorm. And i measured him today, and hes actually 7, not that thats much better. I just do lots and lots of water changes to make sure he stays happy.
how much and how often do you change the water to speed up growth? I wouldn't want to over do it and ruin the bac culture or anything
